Adbhuta Ramayana

Traditionally attributed to Valmiki, the Adbhuta Ramayana is a short Sanskrit Shakta telling in 27 sargas. It preserves unusual stories of devotion and sacred music, Rama's teaching to Hanuman, and a distinctive climax in which Sita manifests as Mahakali and defeats Sahasra Ravana. These fresh adaptations are presented as their own tradition, separate from the main Ramayana series.
