King and silly Monkey

1 min read

Once there was a king and his minister was a monkey. The monkey was loyal but was an idiot. One day the king went to his room to sleep and put the monkey outside for protection. The king was fast asleep and a fly entered the room. Hearing a sound, the monkey came in. So that the king's sleep would not be disturbed, he took a sword and attacked the fly. First the fly sat on the chair, and flew off as soon as the sword fell. The chair was torn. Then it sat on the bed. The sword struck the bed, and the fly flew off and sat on the king's neck. This time the monkey swung the sword with full force. The fly flew away again — and the king's head broke off from the torso.
