Sanja
Long ago, in the beautiful Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, there lived a cheerful girl named Sanja. She loved flowers, birds, trees, and everyone in her village. Every morning she collected colorful flowers and decorated the village paths and temples. She always helped people with a smile.

Everyone in the village loved Sanja because she was kind, gentle, and always ready to help.
At that time, there also lived a strange young man named Baghchi. He had the face of a tiger but a kind human heart. Because he looked different, many people were afraid of him and did not understand him.
One day, Baghchi asked the village priest why everyone celebrated weddings with such happiness. The priest explained that weddings were joyful celebrations where families came together.

Baghchi wished that he, too, could have friends and celebrate with everyone. The villagers slowly realized that Baghchi only wanted love and acceptance, not to frighten anyone. With kindness and patience, they welcomed him into the community.

Among all the villagers, Sanja showed the greatest kindness. She spoke gently to everyone and taught children to care for nature, share with others, and always help those in need.

Sadly, Sanja's life was short. When she was no longer with them, the people of the village missed her greatly.
To remember her love for flowers and nature, the young girls of the village began decorating their walls with beautiful patterns made from fresh flowers and clean clay. Every evening they gathered together, sang joyful songs, and remembered Sanja's kindness.
Even today, during the month of Bhadrapada (September), girls in the Malwa region celebrate Sanja Festival by making beautiful wall decorations, singing traditional songs, and praying for happiness, friendship, and a bright future.
